Three vertical elements are aligned to sunrise and sunset points on the horizon at Winter/Summer Solstices (Lt., Rt), and north/south (the central vertical). The horizontal triangular element, resting on the verticals, casts a “V” shadow across the front plane of the central vertical at solar noon. The shadow is highest at the Winter Solstice, and as the solar altitude rises daily, the shadow reaches its lowest point on the Summer Solstice. See photo details.
