Angular patterns in the steel of this due South, solar-aligned piece point to the solar noon altitude of the sun on the Equinoxes. The horizontal “Eyebeam” elements were re-cycled from the site’s closed U.S. Steel plant, as were the concrete finials that topped the plant’s entrance.
